Summer Garden 23 jun - 09 jul / Free entrance

The Gulbenkian Garden will once again open its doors to welcome the sounds, stories, and memories brought by a series of artists from the most diverse origins, backgrounds, and origins: from Luanda to Bissau, from Brasília to Cidade da Praia, from Mindelo to the outskirts of Greater Lisbon.

Over three weekends, the Jardim das Ondas, Sítio da Oliveira, and the Open Air Amphitheatre will stage over 30 concerts and DJ sets with the rhythms, colours and sounds of Kuduro and Afro House, Afrobeat and Hip Hop, Fado and Traditional Cape Verdean and Guinean Music, as well as R&B, Rap, Pop, Soul, Jazz and Brazilian Popular Music.

Above all, the Summer Garden 2023 will be a place of crossing and sharing, "a garden of heavy accents, where no one will feel foreign". Who says so is Dino D'Santiago himself, who once again assumes the curatorship with Lisboa Criola, and whose dream of a Mundu Nôbu [new world] materializes once again in a surprising and eclectic program.

Besides music, there will be free art workshops for the youngest. And also, on June 29th, a conversation with the Brazilian political philosopher and activist Djamila Ribeiro.

The Gulbenkian Museum and the temporary exhibitions have free admission, with ticket collection, from 6 pm to 9 pm during these days.
