Book Festival in Belém | 31 August to 3 September

Book Festival at Belém Palace: four days of readings, debates, books, music, cinema, educational games and presentations. An initiative of His Excellency the President of the Republic.

On 31 August, at 10pm, the film Autografia, by Miguel Gonçalves Mendes, will be shown to mark the centenary of the birth of the poet and painter Mário Cesariny.

The musical entertainment will be provided by Sérgio Godinho (1 September, 10pm), Ana Moura (2 September, 10pm) and Carlão (3 September, 9pm).

Debates moderated by Pedro Mexia:
2 September, 6pm - "Three times a hundred (Eugénio de Andrade, Natália Correia and Mário Cesariny)", with Adolfo Luxúria Canibal, Joana Matos Frias and João Luís Barreto Guimarães.
3 September at 6pm - "In the middle is virtue? (Moderation and radicalism today)", with António Barreto and Helena Matos.

Access to the Book Festival is via the Museum Shop of the Presidency of the Republic or the Tropical Botanical Garden.
